Founder & Manager Cora Williams
Founded in 2023 by Cora Williams, a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) candidate, MLC understands the financial challenges faced by young professionals, single parents, military members, and veterans. MLC provides tailored support to help these individuals build financial confidence, thrive financially, and strengthen their financial literacy.
My Financial Journey
Although I have a background in finance, managing my personal finances was something I had to learn through trial and error. Personal financial management is not taught in school, and in many communities, it is not widely understood or discussed.
The Challenge
When I graduated from college, I had accumulated a significant amount of debt from trying to manage everyday expenses with no actual plan. As a result, my credit score suffered, and the stress of facing these challenges alone felt overwhelming.
Finding a Better Path
Through research, discipline, and lessons learned from my mistakes, I significantly improved my financial situation. I eliminated my debt; increased my savings, investments, and net worth; and greatly improved my credit score.
Why I Founded MLC
Even though I was able to turn my situation around, I know how valuable it would have been to have a trusted financial consultant guide me toward more informed decisions. I founded Money Life Consulting because I believe you should not have to face financial challenges alone.
